My Mum & Me!

I found myself in my 40s, married, two beautiful children and a whole host of different qualifications and certificates but, something was missing!

I'm naturally a crafty person and thought, there must be something I can do that fits in with my busy family life and that I actually enjoy doing. 

Of course, my brain went into overdrive, driving instructor, swim teacher, cleaner or even a dog walker but nothing made me excited until, my Mum!!!

My Mum (Sue) is a florist by nature, although she worked in the NHS for 20+ years before retiring a few years ago. 

Ok, Mum and Daughter both seemingly crafty and both with some time to kill.

What would a crafty Mummy and Nanny think off?

Well....2019 saw the beginning of, My Mum & Me and so we jumped straight into designing and crafting nappy baby shower cakes for mums to be. 

I was working part-time and at the same time my Mum hadn't retired so although we loved what we did and loved being able to design and create some beautiful custom items, time wasn't on our side and we decided to stop in order for me to focus on my family. 

Fast forward to July 2025 and here we are again 

I raised my children (now 14 & 12) who don't need me as much anymore, brought a puppy (I'll do lots of blogs about him) my Mum now fully retired and the time kind of feels right so we decided to give it another shot. 

However, in true My Mum & Me style we decided to branch out and include personal protection items for, not just our amazing mum's to be but for anyone who wants to feel a bit safer.

Head over to the "category section" and check out everything. 

Our nappy baby cakes can be pre brought "as per the advertised item and price" or you can choose to customise your nappy cake, for example different colours or maybe you have a particular theme in mind and we will try and incorporate that into your order. 

Our personal protection items can also be pre brought as per the advertised item and price" or you can choose to have a set number of mystery balls which I'll pick randomly for you and you can pick what colour theme you'd like from the option list. 

If you have just created your online shop, it may still contain a few dummy products and categories, purely for display purposes. Feel free to remove these before starting to add your own range of products. Just visit the Manage > Products and the Manage > Categories sections of the Control Panel to remove them.

Once you have added your own products, the last thing you'll need to think about before you start to sell online is which ecommerce providers, such as PayPal, you want to use. By default, PayPal will be enabled and funds will automatically be sent to your email address as soon as you start to make money. You can enable more via the Ecommerce > Checkouts section of the Control Panel.
